Michelle A. Blau

Michelle Blau is a Managing Director in Perrin & Co.'s Finance & Accounting Advisory practice. A senior finance, accounting, governance, and risk executive with more than 20 years of experience, she advises boards of directors, audit committees, executive leadership teams, privately held businesses, and public companies on strengthening financial reporting, improving governance, modernizing finance organizations, and building scalable accounting and control environments that support long-term growth.

Throughout her career, Michelle has advised founders, executive leadership teams, and boards on building scalable accounting and finance organizations, providing interim controller and fractional CFO leadership, strengthening financial reporting, improving cash flow visibility, stabilizing financial close processes, and establishing disciplined control environments. Her experience combines executive-level judgment with practical implementation, helping organizations build finance functions capable of supporting growth and increasing complexity.

Previously, Michelle served as Vice President of Internal Audit at Radian Group, where she advised executive leadership and the Audit Committee on enterprise risk, governance, and regulatory readiness while leading a modern, risk-based internal audit function. Earlier in her career, she led finance transformation, technical accounting, transaction readiness, pre-IPO preparedness, SOX remediation, and complex accounting engagements across technology, healthcare, real estate, and financial services organizations. She also held senior leadership roles in public accounting, advising clients on accounting, governance, internal controls, and enterprise risk management.

Across financial services, insurance, technology, healthcare, real estate, and other industries, Michelle is recognized for helping organizations strengthen the integrity of their finance organizations while providing practical guidance to executives, boards, and audit committees. Her approach combines financial discipline, sound governance, and cross-functional collaboration to help organizations implement meaningful and lasting improvements.
