Cookie Policy

Information about the cookies and local storage technologies used on our website and how you can manage them.

Effective October 22, 2026

This Policy explains how Perrin & Co. utilizes cookies, local storage, and third-party tag managers. Please read it alongside our Privacy Policy.

01

Introduction

Perrin & Co., LLC ("Perrin & Co.," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar local storage technologies on our website and within our Services. This Cookie Policy explains what these technologies are, how we use them, and the choices you have regarding their use.

02

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work or operate more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the site owners. Similar technologies, like local storage and session storage, perform comparable functions but may store data slightly differently within your browser.

03

How We Use First-Party Storage

We use a limited number of essential first-party cookies and local storage mechanisms necessary to operate our website and provide the Services you request:

  • Staff Access (perrin_admin): A session cookie used exclusively to manage authorized staff access to the /api/admin portal. It expires in 12 hours.
  • Insights Subscriber Access: The local storage entry perrin-insights-access stores your subscriber email and access token to remember access to gated Insights content. It remains until removed or your browser data is cleared; access is subject to server validation.
  • Cookie Preferences: perrin-cookie-preferences in local storage remembers your Allow All, Essential Only, or Analytics and Advertising settings for 180 days in this browser.
  • Navigation State: We use transient session storage to remember a requested section while navigating between pages. It is removed after use or when the browser session ends.
04

Optional Analytics and Advertising

Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads tags may load before you choose, with analytics and advertising consent set to denied. In that state, Google may receive limited, consent-aware, cookieless measurement requests containing technical information such as page URLs, IP address, and browser or device details. Google analytics and advertising cookies and identifiers are not used while consent is denied. The Google Tag Manager (GTM) container that delivers LinkedIn’s tag, and the OpenAI Ads pixel, remain blocked until you allow Advertising.

Optional technologies are grouped into two categories that you control separately. If you allow Analytics, Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-EXZLKVSYF2) measures pageviews and events generated when our server confirms a lead submission; we also run our own engagement measurement and remember which campaign brought you to the site so it can be included with an inquiry you submit. If you allow Advertising, Google Ads measures advertising activity and confirmed lead conversions. Allowing one category does not allow the other. We do not send personal information, form contents, or AI conversation content in these analytics events. With permission, Google may use cookies or similar identifiers. See Google’s privacy policy.

If you allow Advertising, LinkedIn’s Insight Tag measures visits and advertising results. LinkedIn receives page URLs, IP address, browser/device details, and identifiers, and may associate visits with your LinkedIn account or activity across sites. This may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under applicable privacy laws. LinkedIn can store li_adsId locally and set LinkedIn-domain cookies such as li_sugr, lidc, UserMatchHistory, AnalyticsSyncHistory, bcookie and bscookie. Their lifetimes and availability depend on LinkedIn and your browser. See LinkedIn’s privacy policy. Google Fonts is separately requested for typeface delivery and receives normal connection information; it is not controlled by this optional analytics and advertising choice.

Advertising permission also loads the OpenAI Ads base pixel for advertising measurement, including a lead-created event only after our server confirms a successful consultation or advisory inquiry. We do not include form contents or personal information in this event. See OpenAI’s privacy policy.

05

Your Choices and Browser Controls

The cookie banner offers Allow All, Essential Only, and Cookie Settings. Cookie Settings lets you turn Analytics and Advertising on or off separately; both are off unless you turn them on. Use “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of any public page to review or change your choice. It is saved for 180 days in that browser. For any category you have not allowed, Google consent remains denied; limited cookieless Google measurement requests may still occur. LinkedIn and OpenAI Ads remain off unless you allow Advertising. Choosing Essential Only does not prevent use of the site. Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track (DNT) are treated as Essential Only and keep all optional analytics and advertising off even with a previous Allow All choice. If preference storage cannot be used, optional tracking remains denied; the consent-aware Google tags may still load without optional cookies or identifiers.

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies, including those set by third parties.

However, please be aware:

  • Deleting or blocking our essential first-party cookies (like the admin session or local storage) may prevent certain features—such as Staff Access or unlocked Insights—from functioning correctly.
  • Clearing your browser cookies does not prevent all forms of tracking or remove data already collected by third parties. It only removes the identifiers stored on your device at that moment.
  • Withdrawing Advertising permission reloads the page to stop active tags, so save unfinished forms first. It removes the local LinkedIn advertising identifier but preserves requested functional storage. We cannot recall information already sent or automatically delete every cookie or identifier set by Google or LinkedIn. Clear cookies and site data in your browser if desired.
06

Anonymous Consent Counts

To understand how visitors use the cookie banner, your browser sends our own server the name of the action when the banner is shown, dismissed, or a preference is saved (for example, “Essential Only”). The server only adds one to a daily total for that action. No cookie, local storage, identifier, page address, or form content is used or sent for this purpose; we do not store your IP address with these counts or share them with analytics or advertising providers. Nothing is sent when your browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal is on.

07

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or relevant laws. We encourage you to review this policy whenever you visit our website.
